Australia's relatively low latitude makes it particularly vulnerable through impacts on its scarce water resources and crops that presently are growing near or above their optimum temperatures. Australian scenarios reported for 2030 exhibited temperature increases of 0.3-1.4°C, uncertain overall rainfall decrease of as much as 10%, and more high-intensity rainfall events. Projected changes for 2070 were about twice the 2030 changes.
Climate is the long term average of a region’s weather events lumped together , it is possible that a winter day in Australia be sunny and mild but the average weather –the climate- tells us that australia’s winter will mainly become and include snow and rain. Climate change represents a change in these long-term weather patterns. They can become warmer or colder, annual amount of rainfall or snowfall can increase or decrease.
Fortunately, we can take action to slow global warming. Global warming results primarily from human activities that release heat-trapping gases and particles into the air. The most important of these activities are the burning of fossil fuels (coal, gas, oil) and deforestation. To reduce the emission of heat-trapping gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxides, we can curb our consumption of fossil fuels, use technologies that reduce emissions wherever possible, and protect the world’s forests.
We can also do things to lessen the impact of global warming and adapt to those consequences most likely to occur (e.g., through careful long-term planning and other strategies that reduce our vulnerability to global warming). |

hey guys , how's it going ,I'm brett and i'm currently working in a major chain convienent store in Australia known as 7-11 ... Hahahaa who wouldnt know that right ? I mean 7-11 is internationally found everywhere. It's basically a part time job as i'm looking for a full time job at the moment ... just recently found out that i'm gay and i couldn't find any source of relief but Live journal... and i hope to meet some fantastic gay guys over the net .... bye for now ... i'll update more about my life ... |
